Seed age

As some of you may know, I recently lost my house and then my job. So I am waiting until I can find another job and then a place to live in order to plant a garden.

I have a box that has different seeds that I have purchased at different times. Some of the seeds are a couple of years old.

How old should they get before I replace them and how viable at their advanced age?

Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to store heat?

Lets say it is a grid down or SHTF situation in winter and there is no heat. I have a gas grill but I can't use for heat indoors for safety reasons. Is there a way to store the heat and transfer it inside? For example, can I heat up a bunch of bricks and bring them inside to heat up a small space? Any other methods to store the heat?
