Looking at 2024 Silverados. Noticed many did not have the foam bed liner….just bare metal.

I thought the foam liner was standard. My concern, buy a bed liner then water gets trapped under then rust. Sure, I can pay a person to do this on my brand new truck but not ideal.

So, why is bare metal better? Appreciate any input.
