We freeze dry a lot of foods, and also vacuum seal and freeze others. Sometimes one the same freezer dryer run one will suck down a little from the oxygen absorber; another bag won't. Identical conditions. I know the manufactures say the bag drawing down isn't required. But it is an indication that something is off. Bad oxygen absorber, bad seal?

So I was thinking why not freeze dry and vacuum seal. We have a chamber type vacuum sealer and it works great. This method worked good…
