Eight year old Kenmore series 200 washer making screaming noise when it starts the spin cycle

It can still spin it just screams/screeches first.

I know I need to get it fixed pretty soon about how much is that going to run me? It's just me and I only do a few loads a week.

On the plus side Mom and Dad took it to the next level (dating instead of just meeting at singles events) after he fixed her washer so who knows?
