Ammo cans for food storage, an experiment

Part of my food setup includes having an extended pantry with an extra months worth of food we regularly consume, such that, when combined with the working pantry, we have from 1-2 months of food available depending on the time of month.

A tertiary measure is another month's worth of dried rice and beans per person stored in 5 gallon buckets and mylar, since this is quite inexpensive and lasts upwards of 30 years if properly done, so while the idea of living on rice and beans is unappealing…
