This video shows three (later a fourth joins in) running low power (5 to 10 watts) into a "NVIS" type antenna. The audio makes it clear that even in daytime, 80M contacts on low power SSB is entirely possible.

NVIS antenna = dipole, height above ground at 7 to 13 feet. The End Fed Half Wave (EFHW) used at one point is NOT considered to be a NVIS type…
