Do you think you will get through TEOTWAWKI without being in a war?

This is inspired by something that I view as a repeated fallacy that I keep seeing over and over again in different threads.

Regardless of scenario, it seems many people think that they will just be able to hole up in their community, or head up the mountain, or live out in their desert retreat, deep woods cabin, etc, without ever having to be part of something resembling war.
