Is it worth getting into 300 blackout for an AR pistol (for a regular suburban Joe) or is it not worth it?

My own generated thoughts:

Pros:
Pistol for portability / truck gun
Uses for HD/CQC

Cons:
Getting into “another" caliber
Keeping track and making sure you don’t use them in your 556/223 uppers.
Expensive
Not as available when SHTF

You may have other pros and cons. But I’m interested in opinions like: I’m glad I got one because… Or, I regret getting one because…
