Rising homeowners insurance premiums are causing many homeowners to bail on homeowners insurance.

Some companies are no longer doing business in some states, or are limiting the number of policies written.

Fewer companies writing policies, means less competetion, leading to higher premiums.

It's a risky proposition to not have insurance, since a home represents many people's largest investment.

I don't plan on canceling mine.
