Why are there so few young preppers?

This is kind of a follow up to @Rural Buckeye Guy's post about how older preppers are dealing with aging and shtf survival.

It seems like most of us here (who are active on the boards anyway) are over 50, maybe over 60. Where are the young folks – the one's who could really benefit from the experience and knowledge of the many older members here. Where are the 20 something's?
